My first exposure to what could be called noise was Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music".

I fell in love with the Velvet Underground, and by extension, this album was the beginning of all my music.

There is no clear rhythm, no intonation, just a noisy sound that is chopped up endlessly.

I still don't even know what's interesting about it.

The only thing that stuck with me was the feeling that I had been exposed to something new.

The CD medium of music has a beginning and an end. But the impact of this experience will never leave me, and it will continue to change me over and over again.
